On the occasion of the release of his new musical recording, Samuel Sixto invites you to relive your childhood and join him in a community concert to support the Canadian Childhood Cancer Foundation. The show will take place on Thursday, November 2nd, 7:30pm, at the Roundhouse Community Centre in Vancouver. It will be an occasion to (re)discover the melodies of our French language heritage. Samuel Sixto will share the stage with several artists from the Pacific Northwest who also took part in the recording of this touching CD.

The new CD entitled Les Allumeurs de Rêves, the Dream Lighters, is a collection of popular children’s French songs. All profits from the sale of this CD for the first two years of its release will go to the Canadian Childhood Cancer Foundation. Les Allumeurs de Rêves is intended mainly for the grown-ups, but offers a diverse palette of surprising musical colors for children of all ages. Inspired by the multitude of children and their families facing cancer in the world, Samuel’s new recording opens up to the sensitivity surrounding such a tragic disease.

So get ready to wake up Frere Jacques, pluck off the feathers of the Alouette and plant your cabbage with your nose. Come out to support the many families and children living with cancer in Canada. Tickets are on sale now at the Vancouver French Cultural Centre, the French Association of Surrey and on ticketweb.ca.
