On Saturdays through the fall, Light House: Sustainable Building Centre is hosting its "Guest Expert" Series on Granville Island, in Vancouver. Each Saturday, between 2 and 4pm, a different green building professional will be available to answer sustainable building questions you might have. On Saturday, December 2nd, Joanna Clark will speak and answer questions about sustainable landscapes. This event is open and free to the public.

Joanna Clark is a landscape designer and horticulturist who has designed and implemented sustainable landscapes for the past ten years. She uses her background in ecology, plant health and fine arts to create healthy gardens that fit with the urban aesthetic. Her portfolio includes a range of gardens from green roofs, balconies and townhouses to suburban acreages. She has also designed ethnobotanical, water-wise and public demonstration gardens. Joanna is currently working as a senior advisor and designer with Evergreen, a national non profit organization, providing ecological consultations and designs to lower mainland residents.
