Last year, proceeds from the Aiming for the Stars concert were to purchase and lease two passenger vehicles, helping people with developmental disabilities gain access to the programs and services they need in the community. At least six more vehicles are needed to replace an aging fleet. This year our goal is two more vehicles and they will be used to support programs for children and adults that improve their access to vocational, social and recreational skills activities. Surrey Association for Community Living was founded in 1958 by a group of dedicated parents to provide support for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. The Association provides services and support for individuals with special needs and their families and advocates on their behalf. Through committed leadership and guidance, the Association creates an inclusive, safe, caring community that values dignity and choice.
