Opening with Al Gore’s film “An Inconvenient Truth” , and includes films of injustices in the Third World “Uganda Rising”- hope for the children of this war torn country, “Mother’s Courage” –the amazing survival skills of the Rwandan women,. Also on the bill is “Iraq for Sale”-the connection between war profiteers and decision makers, “Money”-an examination of the International Monetary Fund and “Black Gold”- an award winning documentary about the 80 billion dollar global coffee industry.

In response to the turn out in 2006 we are pleased to offer two venues for viewing 11 films in 2007, First United Church (cor Buena Vista and Centre St) and the Salvation Army Church one block north on Best St.
This Festival is organized by First United Church with members from the Council of Canadians, Kairos, Amnesty International and others in the community.
