On Thursday, March 29, thousands will fill their plates to fight AIDS.

Over 190 restaurants from Whistler to White Rock will join the fight against AIDS by donating 25 percent of their food revenue from meals sold during this important event.

As well, Wolf Blass wines will donate a percentage from every bottle purchased in BC at restaurants and liquor stores during the month of March.

All money raised will go to Friends For Life and A Loving Spoonful; Lower Mainland charities that provide support to local people living with HIV/AIDS. Last year, the event raised almost $95 000 for each of these organizations.

If you are going to dine out in March, make sure you do it on Thursday, March 29th.

Of course we couldn’t put on an event of this size without a huge volunteer effort. This is a great opportunity to get your organization involved in a big way. Are your staff members interested in an entertaining night out in the city? Would they like to meet new people and enjoy Vancouver's exciting restaurants? If so, then you are all invited to volunteer for Dining out for Life on Thursday, March 292007.

Volunteers needed:

Restaurant Ambassadors – 190 Restaurant Ambassadors are needed to chat with the restaurant patrons on the night of the event, educate them about Friends For Life and solicit donations. Restaurant Ambassadors will receive a training session, so you’ll feel really comfortable as a volunteer. We’ll send you to your restaurant with the skills to succeed in raising funds for our organizations!

Delivery Drivers – About 20 Delivery Drivers are needed to drop off promotional material and donation boxes on the days leading up to the event. Shift times are flexible, and you’ll be able to select a delivery route that works best for you.
