The liver is a vitally important organ that performs many different functions, simultaneously filtering and directing incoming nutrients while processing outgoing wastes, as well as participating in the production of a myriad number of regulatory substances that are essential for health. In many ways, the liver can be thought of as an alchemist: separating, purifying, rendering, and distilling the very essence of our being. This class will cover the basic functions of the hepatobiliary system, viewed from both a medical and energetic perspective, and why things go wrong the way they do. Useful information will be presented on how to establish and support liver and gall bladder using the wisdom of traditional medicine.
