Chef Training and optional Dinner only with Master Chef Bruce Horowitz! Bruce has been a leader in the raw foods movement for almost twelve years. Starting in 1998 as dishwasher and prep assistant at the world's first live-food restaurant in the USA, Juliano's RAW, Bruce rapidly worked his way up to head chef. Since then Bruce has been the lead chef at scores of raw retreats with David Wolfe, catered movie premieres, graduations, weddings and backstage for the likes of Woody Harrelson, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Michael Franti, Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, The School of Natural Vision, etc. As a live-food instructor, Bruce has taught at Living Light Culinary Arts Institute, the Oregon Culinary Institute, PCC Chefs and at many more leading centers around the continent. In 2007 and 2008 Bruce was the Executive Chef of the world's largest live-food gathering ever, the Raw Spirit Festival. Bruce is also a permaculture teacher, farmer and food activist. He brings an ecological consciousness, an earthy grace and sense of humour to his highly informative classes. Bruce is also the author of The Sun Kitchen Un-Cookbook, which has over a hundred fabulously delicious, time-tested, easy, cutting-edge live-food recipes!
