After 22 years of award-winning leadership and great musical friendship, Diane Loomer is stepping aside as co-conductor of Elektra and handing over the reins to co-conductor, Morna Edmundson. At the end of the 2008/2009 season Ms. Loomer will be appointed to the position of Conductor Emeritus of Elektra. Ms. Edmundson will be appointed Artistic Director of the ensemble. This transition will be honoured at From the Heart, a concert hosted by Shelagh Rogers on Sunday, May 31, 2009.

Hosted by the Inter-Cultural Association of Greater Victoria, the first annual Diversity Health Fair will inform Victoria's diverse communities about health, wellness, recreation and nutrition. On Saturday, June 13, 10am - 3pm, join families and all ages at this fun and educational event featuring health and wellness exhibits with interactive games, health screenings for children and adults, demonstrations of massage, acupuncture and foot care, participatory fitness sessions, a multicultural cafe, children's educational activities, and hourly multicultural entertainment.
