A great Saturday event for everyone… bring the kids, your grandma and grandpa.. your aunt & uncle or your best friend… take your dog friend on a walk… Everett Crowley Park is very accessible… Ride your bike…

Everett Crowley Park… is located at 64th & Kerr in Vancouver – To get there… Take the #26 Bus to Rosemont & Kerr or the #100 Bus to Kerr & Marine. …Free Shuttle Bus from Kent & Kerr to Park and back from 10:45 am – 4:30 pm.

At 11 am Gates will open…
Sign in at the Registration desk and start the day with getting back to ground level. Help us remove a few invasive plants and we welcome you to plant a tree. Sturdy gloves and footwear are recommended!

Then on to Manfred’s Meadow…
Tattoos, face painting, ribbons to win, obstacle courses, butterfly biology, and glorious snakes….oooooh! See a giant bird and a giant chipmunk including stories and games. So much to do… so much to see. If you’ve always wanted to paint a fish, stop and talk to Uncle Norm at ParkLane Homes Booth, he’s got lots of fish and lots of paint. And don’t miss the Girl Guides Cookie Sale.

• 3:30 pm - Los Memories, pop-rock songs with an edge and our favorite hometown boys with all your favorite feel-good music.

Science & Ecology… Native plants from The Natural Gardener, composting information from City Farmer and Grow Natural. Go organic with help from the Gourmet Gardener and Society for Urban Landscape. There will be a limited supply of organic seedlings and blueberry plants offered for sale. Talk to Nigel about Nature Vancouver and the Young Naturalists. Nature and Birding Tours: Register today to set up personal tours.

Conservation… Consult with Jennifer Bailey of WaterWorks and the PowerSmart folks from BC Hydro… maybe save some money with useful tips. VanCity is giving free CFL’s and don’t miss the Return-it Man… he has lots of free gifts too.
