Inspired by the success of the Slow Food Cycle Farm Tour in Agassiz last year, SLOW FOOD VANCOUVER is hosting a new food focused cycling event in the city on Saturday, April 19th called BIKE THE BLOSSOMS.

This unique free event will see participants embark on a leisurely cycle along designated City bike routes to view the peak blossoming of Kanzan cherry trees stopping along the way to enjoy the culinary pleasures of eight of Vancouver's unique eateries and coffee houses selected by Slow Food. The routes will also include special stops showcasing Fraser Valley farmers, partnered with local host businesses and community centres, where cyclists will be able to sample local and artisanal foods and speak with farmers.

BIKE THE BLOSSOMS encourages conviviality through the connection of People, Food and Slow by promoting our City's biking lanes while encouraging local, green and clean. For more information and registration go to: http://www.slowfoodvancouver.com/index.php/BikeBlossoms
