Let your mind and body relax and heal as you listen to Megha Shakya, Master of Tibetan singing bowl therapy, perform the ethereal and healing music of ancient Tibet. This sacred music therapy was used by Tibetan sages and monks in monasteries to heal the sick. The miraculous sounds coming from the bowls, made of seven metals, and the special music composed for the therapy were closely guarded secrets until recent times. The human body is made of innumerable cells, each one carrying electrical energy. As each cell vibrates, it creates a particular sound frequency. When a person is sick, there is an imbalance in this sound frequency of the cells in the body and the mind. The singing bowl therapy balances the sound frequency, reinvigorating the sick person's body and mind. Originally from Nepal, Megha now makes his home in Vancouver. As well as being a passionate and compassionate financial advisor, Megha is a practising Master of Tibetan singing bowl therapy. Megha's own spiritual journey started in 1981, after studying Vipassana meditation from Goenka and later non-violent communication. Megha then became a Master of Reiki, another healing system originating in Tibet, and later rediscovered in Japan. In 2008 Megha trained in Tibetan singing bowl therapy with Maestro Shanta Shakya, one of the few practitioners in Kathmandu, Nepal. Megha has blended Vipassana and Reiki energy into his singing bowl concerts and therapy sessions. For Megha, his singing bowl therapy is his way of giving to the community where he lives. |
