In a stroke of brilliance, a Vancouver woman has taken a 10-year-old Canada Post policy and made it her own. Beth Ringdahl, bolstered by fellow Vancouverites Charity Zapanta and Heather Briggs, launched her so-called “Red Dot” Campaign to spread the word about Canada Post’s “Consumer Choice Option”—which lets you opt out of receiving junk mail. “My vision of a sustainable community,” says Beth, whose company, EcoEco, spearheaded the campaign, “is one where every piece of paper that comes into your house has your name on it. And that’s all I want to change in the world.”
