MOON VOID OF COURSE
The moon makes one complete revolution around the zodiacal wheel each month, spending a little more than 24 hours in each of the 12 signs. When the moon is about to complete its visit through one sign and does not make any planetary connections (called aspects) before it moves on to the next sign, it is considered “void of course.” The moon’s influence or biorhythm is weak during these few hours, which can cause diminished success or satisfaction. If optimum results are your aim, wait until the moon fuels up in a new sign before you do it, buy it, or say it. Timing is everything!

AQUARIUS (Jan. 21-Feb. 18) They want you, they need you, some will mesmerize you: place yourself at centre, too! Spruce up your living space, and while you are at it, spend extra to get yourself noticed. Mid- to end of the month, social, romantic, and financial matters pick up speed; don’t expect it to slow down!
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20) Start of the month is the best time to pool together, solidify agreements and decisions, deal with legal matters or official paperwork, and search for added income sources, rentals, renters, or financial advantage. Mercury retrograde May 26–June 19 can bring added complications; consider it a working-out-the-kinks cycle.
ARIES (March 21–April 19) Forge ahead on financial, health, and work-related matters; you’ll gain solid ground at month’s start. Fortuitous stars are especially rewarding May 12, 13, 16–18; book interviews, sign a contract, seek attention, let your heart be claimed. May 21–24 brings a fleeting window—you snooze, you lose.
TAURUS (April 20-May 20) Past experience and the advance of time are now on your side; work to increase relationship solidarity and put personal ambitions into action. Venus in Taurus energizes an attraction cycle through May 24—milk it for all it’s worth! Once Mercury turns retrograde (May 26), financial or emotional tides could shift.
GEMINI (May 21-June 20) Romantic, creative, financial—lucrative undercurrents are stirring. Watch for clues, hints, or news May 12 and 13. May 15–19: plans fall into place beautifully. The Victoria Day long weekend is fab for a getaway or for hosting. Pay extra attention to health, personal, and work safety May 19, and throughout Mercury’s retrograde cycle.
CANCER (June 21-July 22) Clients, agents, friends, and even acquaintances can be good providers. Don’t hesitate to reach out or work your database, especially May 1–8, 12, 13, 16–18. The Full Moon May 19 could deliver a special opportunity, a compelling event, or a stroke of good luck.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22) The sun and Venus could put you in line for a promotion at month’s start. If it isn’t available right where you are, search elsewhere! Prior to retrograde, Mercury increases not only career rewards, but social pleasures, too. Choose your playing field: Mars in Leo, May 10–July 1, turns you into hot stuff.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22) Resistance, self-doubt, holdups, or restrictions could evaporate as Saturn completes retrograde May 2. The stars give you the “go” signal May 2–24. The last two weeks of May are pivotal; opportunity comes in surprising or unexpected packages. Mercury retrograde could multiply guesswork or loose ends.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22) It’s a cash-in month re: emotional, financial, and scholastic investments. Family and lovers step up their support. Though they’ll be more lucrative on the seller’s end, real estate transactions are still a win/win for all through May 25. Visitors or travel bring great delight May 16–31.
SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21) Selling, teaching, or expanding your social network, you can make wonderful inroads with an especially diverse audience throughout the month. It’s a lucrative time to patch things up with a sibling, too. May 18–19 could bring an important talk or event. Hold off, hang loose May 26–June 19.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 20) Work runs smoothly; health also hits a good plateau, especially through mid-month. Looking for a new place to live or new stimulus to make life more interesting? You’ll find it May 18–25; creativity, insight, hidden advantage/potential ignite readily. Social Mercury retrograde plugs you back in and keeps you in the loop.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 21-Jan. 20) Take control, own your life; an empowering and successful month lies ahead. Romance, financial matters, and creative endeavours can be especially rewarding. Experiment with new strategies or techniques; take a page from those who stand next to you May 19–25. May 26–June 19: don’t be a follower; double-check everything.
