Dream, Vancouver!

If you’re going to dream, dream big. That’s exactly what 250 passionate Vancouverites did Oct. 21—putting their heads together to brainstorm on the future of the city. The sold-out Dream Vancouver Conference (dreamvancouver.ca) was headed up by U.S. social innovator Bliss Browne, with former City of Vancouver co-director of planning Larry Beasley as keynote speaker. “We have to dream,” Beasley told the crowd, “because we’re not there yet.” Dream Vancouver was presented by Think City (thinkcity.ca).

To Your Health

“Look younger, be sexier, feel better....than you’ve ever felt before!” These magic words drew crowds to the Vancouver Health Show Oct. 13-14. MDs, holistic healers, and wellness experts gave seminars on everything from banishing stress and enhancing motivation to age reversal and whole-foods diets.

What do ethical investments have to do with a health show? It makes perfect sense: the Pinch Group, represented by Frank Arnold, offers up ways to heal the planet through Socially Responsible Investing.
